A Beer A Day for 365 Days.

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Edison Skinner and I adore beer.  I have been imbibing the brew since I was a teenager.  Back then, in the dead cold of winter (and being decidedly underage), we had nowhere to drink but in the woods behind the town rink, bottles stuffed in snow piles to keep chilled.  Since those precocious days of youth, I’ve enjoyed beers in countries throughout the world and discovered that beer is an ever-evolving beverage, with infinite varieties and styles to suit all tastes.

Today is the first day of a new project in which I shall endeavour to drink 1 beer per day for 365 days and report to all of you marvelous people my experience in doing so.

Having just watched “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1”, Tunta and I stopped off at the nearby Earl’s Kitchen for a pint of beer (this post-movie pint is now ritual).  The pint I ordered is from Ontario’s Muskoka Brewery.  They’ve called it “Detour” and it’s classified as an American Pale Ale.  This particular beer is a quick punch to the face of grapefruity, hoppy, sessionable goodness. Perfect beer to pair with fish n’ chips.  Also immensely enjoyable was the FULL box of Turtles Chocolates that some delightfully forgetful person left behind at the table next to us.
