Day 4: A Beer A Day for 365 Days.
Oh boy, do I have a killer beer today. Picture this, ladies and gentlemen: You are a Viking. You’ve just met with battle in a mountain pass where all odds were stacked against you and your band of warriors. A trap was set, the pass blocked at either end by woodsmen outlaws. But your fury and skill dominate and a brutal victory is won.
You and your men march, through the driving snow, to the nearest village to sing and drink and celebrate. But what brew befits such an occasion? This one is up to the challenge. At 14.5% this Eisbock aged in Armagnac barrels comes across almost more like an aged spirit than a beer. Aromas of figs and dark fruit and roasted black breads smash into your face before you’ve even had a taste. It’s already an otherworldly experience.
Then the first sip fills your mouth and a warming sensation takes over and you thump your chest and your battle aches disappear and you look around the room at your comrades and let out a warrior cry. A roar for victory and a roar for this heavenly nectar of the Gods. #abeeraday #craftbeer #romantic #inspiredbyTigana
