Day 5: “Sam Roberts Band Session Ale” by Spearhead

I’ll tell you what. Sometimes, it’s the end of the night, you’ve just worked for 9 hours, and what you really want is a lover to soothe your aching bones and tuck you into bed and send you off to sleep-world with a kiss and a promise that all is right in the world. Alas, as the eternally cool and brilliant #rollingstones so raucously cried, “You can’t always get what you want… But if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need.” All the answers are in rock and roll.
And it is rock and roll that inspired the @samrobertsband Session Ale beer from Toronto based brewery, Spearhead. If you’re the drummer of a rock band, you can’t be drinking 11% Imperial Stouts all night. You’d be a puddle of sweaty, drunken vomit by the 5th song. But if you drank this 4.5%, super refreshing, lemony-hopped-with-a-gorgeous-sweet-malty-backbone beer – you would be just fine and dandy. Trust.
And no, I suppose I’m not a rockstar. I’m just a guy, sitting on the couch in his den at the end of a long day. But man if this isn’t exactly what I need right now, I don’t know what is.
