Day 21: Brasserie Dieu du Ciel! “Moralité American IPA”

IMG_7361

Sunshine in a bottle.

Dieu du Ciel is a fabulous brewery out of Quebec. They produce some of the highest rated beers in the country and this one is no exception. I am only on Day 21, but this may be the tastiest IPA I’ve ever had. It pours a hazy, burnt-lemon colour and the aromas are out of this world. No, really. They genuinely elevate you to some higher plane of consciousness (or perhaps it’s just 2:30am…). So much tropical fruit and grapefruit fragrance, I literally want to have a Honey I Shrunk The Kids moment so I can jump into this glass and go for a swim.

But as gorgeous as the smells are, the flavour is just beyond. Mango, papaya, grapefruit, all paired with a sort of pungent piney bitterness and lots of floral. It’s like the brightest, happiest beer on the planet. In fact, I’m adding a new category, “Favourites”, because of this brew. Try as I might, I simply cannot throw enough effusive praise at this one. It’s just heavenly.

Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, STOP! Go and find this beer and ride the joyful pleasure train with me!
