Home for Christmas!
I landed in Nova Scotia this afternoon and I couldn’t wait to get ahold of a delicious local craft brew. Garrison Brewery has always been one of my favourites; they’re a Halifax legend since they first brewed their “Irish Red Ale” back in 1997 and Nova Scotians have been quaffing their brews ever since.
Tonight I knew I’d be having prime rib for dinner and so I felt like a big robust stout to go with it. And I hadn’t tried the Garrison Stout before. It was perfect. Huge chocolatey flavours, with some coffee, vanilla bean. This is a dark, smooooooth beer. Loved every sip and a wonderful welcome home.
